* Every six and under swimmer that finishes 1st in their heat will get a "heat winner" ribbon.
* Every six and under swimmer that does NOT place 1st-6th will get a "super swimmer" ribbon.

PRELIMINARY MEETS (Prelims)
* NO RIBBONS OR MEDALS ARE AWARDED FROM PRELIMS
This meet sets up the heats for Championships. So how your swimmer performs here will determine which heat they swim in during the Championships Meet.
There are two heats created for Championships from Prelim results. If your swimmer finishes 1st-6th in Prelims, they will be in the medal heat for Championships, and will get a medal if they complete that race. If your swimmer finished 7th-12th in Prelims, they will be placed in the ribbon heat for Championships, and will get a ribbon if they complete that race. Important to know, if your swimmer is in the ribbon heat, and has a time that beats a swimmer in the medal heat, THEY WILL NOT GET A MEDAL. Only swimmers in the medal heat will be awarded a medal. So, bottom line is encourage your swimmer to swim their fastest in Prelims, and not wait for Championships to swim their best.
