Hey Barracudas!

I told you all emails from me involved FUN events! I am coming at ya with another one!!

Our annual LAP-O-RAMA will be held Tuesday evening, June 18^th. This is our annual swim team fundraiser! We normally hold this in the morning but have shifted to an evening event to get more family involvement and have a more family friendly event. We are doing a family potluck spaghetti dinner. Please stay and socialize and have fun!

The monies raised pay for capital investments in equipment. It is crucial to keep our team running. Your registration dues pay for our fabulous coaches, league insurance and dues, some social events, etc. The Lap-O-Rama proceeds pay for all our equipment.

Our team needs everyone’s help to save up funds for new swim blocks in the next few years. This is a significant cost for the team, and we rely on your support! The cost of a new installed block is approximately $4,000 and we have 6 blocks so that is a total of $24,000!!! This is a fantastic opportunity to reach out to your friends, grandparents, family, former Barracudas, and neighbors to see if they want to sponsor your swimmer!

Here is how LAP-O-RAMA works!

●Swimmers will swim as many laps as they can during their assigned time. (LAP= 1 length of the pool) After they swim, they will be rewarded with a tasty spaghetti dinner!

●I have attached the Lap-O-Rama form. You can use this form to record your donors. You may turn this form in after Lap-O-Rama with the money raised. Cash, check, Zelle are all accepted! Donations are accepted all the way through the end of the season!

●Donors can either donate by lap or a flat amount.

●Do you work for a company with a corporate matching program? This could be another great way to contribute to the Barracudas!

This is a really fun evening for the swimmers. They will be amazed at just how many laps they can swim!!

Timeline and details:

• 6 and unders and 7/8’s will swim from 5-6 pm
• 9/10’s and 11/12’s will swim from 6-7 pm
• 13 ups will swim from 7-8 pm

I have attached a sign-up genius for the potluck spaghetti dinner. Please sign up so we have enough food to feed our strong swimmers! BYOB

They will need pasta and sides after swimming all those laps!
